Sedona

My favorite day of our vacation was taking the two hour drive to Sedona. The dashboard read 92 degrees and we kept the convertible’s top down there and back. Starting in the city and driving towards the mountains was windy and sharp. As the mountains got closer and closer, the colors started to change. Finally, we reached the Red Rock. Officially Sedona, these mountains are breathtaking. Add it to your must see list if you’ve never been there.

I visited Sedona in 2006 and knew the Chapel of Holy Cross was one of the best lookout points. It was really busy and we had to park below, but it offered the opportunity for a pretty cool shot of John in the car.

Driving through and visiting the Chapel wasn’t enough for me. I didn’t want to leave! We spent some time at a local coffee shop trying pastries with the most amazing view of the Red Rocks. There are hotels in Sedona, so consider staying there when you go!
